President Ilham Aliyev Receives Energy Leaders to Discuss New Multilateral Cooperation


Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received high-ranking officials from major energy companies, including Nail Maganov of Russia’s Tatneft, Askhat Khassenov of Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas, and Bakhodirjon Sidikov of Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev announced the commencement of a new phase of multilateral cooperation among the countries. This initiative follows extensive preparations and builds on existing production relations between the oil companies of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. President Aliyev underscored the successful implementation of several bilateral projects and highlighted the necessity of combined efforts for greater impact.



The discussions at the meeting revolved around the future of this cooperative framework, with participants expressing optimism about its potential to enhance economic relationships among the nations. The collaboration aims to tackle areas such as emergency mitigation, digital technology optimization, joint procurement, and industrial sector development. Furthermore, it remains open for participation by other foreign companies, indicating a broad scope for international collaboration.
