Baku: 'Today, relations between the United States and Azerbaijan are entering an absolutely new phase,' said President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during a joint press statement with U.S. Vice President James David Vance, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev noted that cooperation with the United States in the fields of security and energy will continue. He emphasized that the newly signed Charter with Vice President Vance outlines various directions for collaboration. Azerbaijan aims to maintain close cooperation on security and anti-terror operations. The President also highlighted Azerbaijan's role in energy security, providing natural gas resources to 16 countries, 11 of which are NATO members and allies of the United States.
