Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order pardoning a group of convicts, APA reports. According to the order, a total of 175 individuals have had the remaining terms of their prison sentences eliminated, while 25 offenders have had half of their unserved sentences reduced. Additionally, one person whose prison term was conditionally applied and two individuals whose sentences had been postponed were also pardoned.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the clemency extends further to ten individuals subjected to restricted freedom, with their remaining sentences commuted. Two other individuals in the same category have had their sentences reduced by half. Moreover, one person fined and four individuals sentenced to correctional labor have all been released from their sentences.
