Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order regarding the conscription of Azerbaijani citizens for active military service and the transition of servicemen from active duty to reserve units during the period of October 1-30, 2025.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the order specifies that citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2007 who have turned 18 by the date of conscription, alongside those born between 1995 and 2006 who are under the age of 30 and do not possess the right to deferment, are to be drafted into active military service from October 1 to October 30, 2025.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with taking the necessary measures in compliance with existing legislation to facilitate the implementation of this order.
