Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to former U.S. President Donald Trump for his role in fostering peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. During the awarding ceremony of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, Aliyev highlighted the progress made since the summit in Washington, which was organized by Trump.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aliyev stated that the summit and subsequent meetings have paved the way for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, aiming to resolve the longstanding conflict between the two nations. He acknowledged the significant contribution of Trump in facilitating dialogue and cooperation, which has been instrumental in moving towards peace.
