President Ilham Aliyev Welcomes UAE National Security Advisor for Strategic Talks

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Tahnoun conveyed greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Azerbaijani head of state, to which President Ilham Aliyev responded with his regards.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting underscored the successful development of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE, with both parties expressing satisfaction over the expansion of bilateral cooperation in multiple areas. They highlighted that the personal friendship between the leaders, along with their reciprocal visits and meetings, plays a crucial role in fortifying these ties.

The visit of a large delegation from the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan was noted for its importance in discussing cooperation across different fields. A significant aspect of the meeting was the document-signing ceremony attended by President Ilham Aliyev and Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The documents signed included a "Cooperation Agreement between Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company - Masdar and AGEC for the development of renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan", and a "Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Azerbaijan Investment Holding and L'IMAD HOLDING COMPANY PJSC". Additionally, an "Agreement between AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company and Terra Mining Ltd on joint assessment and exploration of mineral resources", and a "Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and GROUP 42 Holding Ltd" were signed, focusing on data center development and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Moreover, a "Shareholders' Agreement regarding Southern Gas Corridor Closed Joint Stock Company" and a document on "Confirmation of Financial Close for the Neftchala 315 MW Solar Photovoltaic Project" were finalized, highlighting the broad scope of collaborative ventures between the two nations.
