The Arab media has drawn the readers` attention to the speech by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council in Astana.

The newspapers and portals of Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Syria and Libya noted that President Ilham Aliyev informed the CIS heads of state about the situation in the region.

“Darelhilal”, “Almasralyoum”, SANA agency, “Alwasat”, “Alkhaleej” posted President Ilham Aliyev`s sharp remarks addressed to French President Emmanuel Macron.

“The President of France made insulting, unacceptable, false and provocative statements. For our part, we categorically condemn and reject such statements and, given such an attitude of the French government, see no further possibility for France to play a role in the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations,” said President Ilham Aliyev in his speech.

The Arab media also published statement by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemning French President`s remarks.
