Baku: The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed decrees to approve four significant agreements with the government of Uzbekistan. These agreements, aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, cover various domains such as environmental protection, customs, education, and information exchange.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the signed agreements include the ‘Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Environmental Protection between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan,’ which was finalized in Baku on July 2, 2025. Additionally, the ‘Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Authorized Economic Operator Institutions’ between the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan and the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan was also approved.

Furthermore, the President endorsed the ‘Agreement on Cooperation in the Fields of Science, Vocational Education and Higher Education’ between the two nations, as well as an ‘Agreement on Organizing Information Exchange Regarding Cloned, Stolen, Lost, and Crime-related Mobile Devices.’ These agreements are expected to foster closer ties and mutual benefits for both countries in their respective sectors.
