President of Azerbaijan Criticizes OSCE Minsk Group’s Role in Karabakh Conflict

New york: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has declared that the OSCE Minsk Group, created to facilitate a resolution to the Karabakh conflict, has not succeeded in its mission. He made this statement during his address at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the President emphasized that the group, which was established in 1992, failed to enforce the norms and principles of international law. Instead, its co-chairs aimed to maintain the status quo and keep the conflict in a frozen state, rather than seeking a definitive resolution.
