Baku: Droupadi Murmu, the President of the Republic of India, has extended warm greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their Independence Day. In a message sent on behalf of the Government and the people of India, she conveyed her best wishes for the good health and wellbeing of the Azerbaijani people and expressed hopes for their continued progress and prosperity.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Murmu highlighted the historical and cultural ties shared between India and Azerbaijan. She emphasized the potential for enhancing economic and commercial linkages, as well as strengthening people-to-people contact between the two nations. President Murmu concluded her message by assuring her highest consideration to the Azerbaijani leadership.
