Baku: Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of the Republic of Malta, extended her congratulations to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in a letter marking Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter highlighted the 30 years of diplomatic relations between Malta and Azerbaijan, emphasizing mutual respect and shared understanding as the foundation of their relationship. President Debono expressed her confidence in the continued strengthening of ties between the two nations in the coming years.

In her message, President Debono conveyed her wishes for good health and serenity for President Aliyev, along with aspirations for ongoing peace, progress, and prosperity for Azerbaijan. She concluded the letter by reaffirming her highest consideration for the Azerbaijani leader.
