Baku: President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in honor of Azerbaijan's Independence Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Abbas expressed his sincere wishes for the health, happiness, and success of the Azerbaijani President, as well as the continued progress and prosperity of the Azerbaijani people and government. In his letter, President Abbas emphasized the importance of the bilateral relations between Palestine and Azerbaijan, highlighting his appreciation for Azerbaijan's supportive stance on the Palestinian issue.

Furthermore, President Abbas extended his congratulations to the Azerbaijani President and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha, concluding his letter with best regards.
