President of Uzbekistan Honors Azerbaijani Ambassador Huseyn Guliyev

Tashkent: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev recently received Huseyn Guliyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as he concludes his diplomatic mission in the country. The meeting underscored the significant advancements made in bilateral relations during Guliyev's tenure.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Mirziyoyev praised the ambassador for his effective efforts and personal contribution towards enhancing the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The discussions highlighted the robust dialogue that has been established at various governmental levels, leading to substantial progress in trade and economic cooperation.

The meeting acknowledged the impressive expansion of bilateral trade in recent years, alongside the establishment of 280 enterprises with Azerbaijani capital and the creation of a Joint Investment Company. Ongoing collaborative projects in sectors such as geology, agriculture, transportation, urban planning, textiles, and pharmaceuticals were also discussed. Furthermore, cultural and humanitarian exchange programs have played a pivotal role in strengthening ties between the two nations.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the multifaceted relationship between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, President Mirziyoyev honored Ambassador Guliyev with the 'Mehnat Shuhrati' Order. Expressing his gratitude, Ambassador Guliyev thanked the President for the positive appraisal of his diplomatic work and for the support extended in fostering the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
