Presidential Aide Highlights Development of Regional Corridors in Azerbaijan

Baku: Azerbaijan plays an important role in strengthening connections between North and South, as well as East and West, due to its geographical position, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Shahmar Movsumov, said during a panel discussion on the Middle Corridor held within the framework of the XIII Baku Global Forum, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Movsumov emphasized that Azerbaijan is investing in regional corridors. He highlighted the visionary policy of President Ilham Aliyev, noting that the country is focusing on developing corridors that are crucial for cargo transportation, energy, and digital connectivity.

Movsumov also mentioned that Azerbaijan exports natural gas to 16 countries through the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP, and TANAP. He discussed other cooperation projects implemented by Azerbaijan and highlighted Baku's contribution to diversifying the Middle Corridor.
