Presidential Assistant Highlights Importance of WUF13 for Global Urban Dialogue

Baku: The World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to occur in Azerbaijan, is poised to be a pivotal platform for the exchange of international experiences and a global dialogue on urban development, according to Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration. Hajiyev made this statement during a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan at Garabagh University.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyev underscored the significance of post-conflict reconstruction efforts, urban planning, and infrastructure development in Garabagh and East Zangezur. He described these efforts as a distinctive model of recovery that could be shared with international partners.

Hajiyev also called upon UN member states and agencies to actively participate in the forum, highlighting that such engagement would be instrumental in generating new ideas for the cities of the future.
