“Azerbaijani-US relations have been successful in terms of development, friendship and partnership over the past 30 years,” said Assistant to Azerbaijani President, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev as he attended a webinar on “30 years of U.S.-Caspian Diplomatic relations” organized by the Caspian Policy Center (CPC).

Hikmat Hajiyev mentioned that after the terrorist attack committed on September 11, 2001, Azerbaijan provided military-logistics support to the fight launched by the United States. “Azerbaijan has asserted itself as a good friend over the past 30 years and this support has been recognized as a crucial component of regional security,” Hajiyev said.

The Presidential Assistant also emphasized Azerbaijan’s support for the United States in its missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
