Presidential Library Hosts Commemoration Event for Heydar Aliyev’s 103rd Anniversary

Baku: The Presidential Library recently held an event to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people. The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the National Leader.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Professor Afet Abbasova, Director of the Presidential Library, opened the event with an introductory speech. She outlined Heydar Aliyev's significant contributions to shaping the political trajectory of modern Azerbaijan, reinforcing public administration traditions, and defining the national development strategy. Abbasova emphasized the ongoing efforts of the Presidential Library to gather, organize, and present materials on Heydar Aliyev's life and work to the public.

The event featured speeches from Zakir Ismayilov, Head of the Library Automation, Digitization, and Electronic Resources Section; Farida Namazova, Head of the Art Books Collection Group; and Anastasia Kosayeva, Head of the Rare Books Collection Group. The speakers underscored Heydar Aliyev's contributions to Azerbaijani statehood and his initiatives to safeguard and promote national and moral values.

An extensive book and photo exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev's life and activities was showcased at the event. This exhibition highlighted publications and photographs related to his state-building efforts, foreign policy strategies, and initiatives in the fields of science, culture, and more.

Additionally, a virtual exhibition prepared by the Presidential Library was presented, allowing participants to engage interactively with materials on Heydar Aliyev's life and political activities. The event concluded with the screening of a video highlighting the life and work of the National Leader.
