Baku: A new virtual collection dedicated to the literary legacy of Mir Jalal Pashayev-an outstanding representative of 20th-century Azerbaijani literary thought, writer, and literary scholar-has been compiled in the 'Literary Heritage' subsection of the 'Collections' section of the Presidential Library. The collection showcases the multifaceted literary and scholarly activity of Mir Jalal Pashayev.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Pashayev's work holds a significant place in the development of national literature, particularly in enhancing its thematic and conceptual richness. His writings synthesize folk tradition with classical literary heritage, achieving a new artistic quality. Recognized for interpreting pivotal moments in social history and the nation's destiny, Pashayev's novels and short stories provide profound psychological insights into human character while emphasizing national and moral values.
Pashayev also made important contributions to Azerbaijani literary studies, particularly regarding the artistic legacy of the great Azerbaijani poet Muhammad Fuzuli. His scholarly work offered interpretations of key directions in national literary thought and played a significant role in the enlightenment movement and the development of the national school of literary studies.
