Astana: Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan visited the ‘Alem.ai’ International Artificial Intelligence Center in Astana, an initiative aimed at fostering innovation in AI. The visit highlighted the Center’s role in advancing AI technologies in Kazakhstan’s public and economic sectors.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev received a briefing on the Center, established earlier this year to serve as a hub for AI advancement. The Center’s ‘Public Space’ initiative seeks to engage 10,000 talented individuals annually and is set to host various forums, expert meetings, and open lectures on AI. It also plans to conduct job fairs, hackathons, and startup competitions to stimulate AI-focused innovation.

The Center includes the ‘Tomorrow School,’ which offers free AI education without needing prior programming knowledge, and an AI campus to expedite startup growth. Aiming to enhance technology development and entrepreneurship, the Center targets the launch of 100 new AI startups every year. Additionally, research laboratories at the Center are dedicated to supporting scientific research in AI, with ten projects scheduled for annual implementation.
