President Ilham Aliyev made a trip to Ismayilli, where he got acquainted with the progress of construction work and the improvement of the area.

In particular, the head of state visited the village of Lahich, talked with the local population, got acquainted with the repair and restoration work in the Badayun Mosque.

Aliyev was informed about the growing tourism potential of Lahij, which has been known since ancient times as a handicraft center. In the first 9 months, the village was visited by 82 thousand tourists.

The President participated in the opening ceremony of the Center for Supporting Children and Families in Ismayilli, the opening of school number 6 of the Basgal-Sulut highway.

From Ismayilli, the head of state arrived in the neighboring Shamakhi region.
