Prime Minister Ali Asadov Engages with OTS Central Banks’ Council Meeting Participants

Baku: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with participants of the Meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on June 4.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the significance of the Council's gathering, with participants expressing confidence that the event would bolster cooperation among the financial sectors of OTS member countries and augment the role of central banks in this collaborative process.

Participants recognized the fruitful development of cooperation among OTS member states, which is anchored in mutual trust and shared interests. It was noted that under Azerbaijan's current chairmanship of OTS, there is a focused effort on strengthening ties across key sectors such as trade, investment, transport, energy, finance, and humanitarian initiatives.

The meeting emphasized Azerbaijan's ongoing reforms aimed at modernizing its financial and banking sectors, alongside the advancements in improving the quality of financial services, enhancing transparency, and fortifying the stability of the banking system.

The participants also examined opportunities to advance financial and banking cooperation within the framework of the OTS.
