Baku: Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Unal Ustel emphasized the special nature of relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus during a press conference in Baku, marking Northern Cyprus Culture Day.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Unal Ustel highlighted that these relations transcend ordinary interstate cooperation, rooted deeply in a shared history, culture, and brotherhood. He remarked, "Today, we have gathered here for the sake of our common future and shared goals. Relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are not ordinary interstate relations. This is a bond of hearts and a shared destiny."
Ustel further noted the significant solidarity between Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and Northern Cyprus, describing it as an exemplary model of unity within the Turkic world. He articulated this sentiment with the phrase, "One nation, three states," emphasizing the close brotherhood shared with Trkiye and Azerbaijan.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism about the future, stating that the existing friendship and mutual support among the peoples would foster further cooperation in the years ahead. He highlighted the importance of shared values and brotherly relations as invaluable treasures to be passed on to future generations.
The cultural day event held in Icherisheher served as a platform to showcase the national and cultural heritage, art, music, dances, cuisine, and tourism potential of Northern Cyprus.
