Putin Acknowledges Lack of Progress in Russia-Ukraine Negotiations

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that it is premature to predict any potential agreements between Russia and Ukraine, as detailed negotiations between the two nations have yet to commence. This revelation came during an interview with the 60 Minutes talk show broadcast on Rossiya-1 television.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Putin expressed reluctance to delve into specifics, noting that no substantive discussions are currently taking place with Kyiv. He mentioned, “The opposing side gives it up,” suggesting a lack of engagement from Ukraine in these talks. Putin further emphasized, “Speaking about whether we will agree on anything, what we can agree on, it is simply too early even to mention it,” indicating that the diplomatic process remains at a standstill.

The absence of ongoing negotiations highlights the continued tension between the two countries, with no immediate resolution in sight. The situation remains fluid, and any future diplomatic developments will be closely monitor
ed by international observers.
