Tashkent: Qatar and Uzbekistan have inked a deal to establish a representative office of Qatar Dynasty Jet in Uzbekistan, marking a significant expansion of Qatari business interests in the region.

According to Trend News Agency, the agreement was finalized during a roundtable that included Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and Mohamed Bin Ahmed Twar Al Kuwari, the First Deputy Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with delegates from over 40 prominent companies from both countries. The initiative is part of a broader move to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations.

The meeting also saw the signing of several contracts focusing on the export of agricultural and food products. These agreements involve major entities such as the Qatari companies Al Mai Trading and High Com Global Trading, alongside Uzbek counterparts Millmax Trading and Turan.

The discussions highlighted the ongoing positive trade and investment dynamics between Qatar and
Uzbekistan, with several Qatari firms already involved in major projects within Uzbekistan across various sectors including energy, road infrastructure, logistics, and tourism. The parties expressed a mutual interest in broadening their cooperation, particularly in sectors like agriculture, textiles, mining, and healthcare.

This development follows a recent visit by a Qatari delegation led by Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmad Al Kuwari, which coincided with the Board of Governors meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Uzbekistan. The talks during the visit focused on deepening trade ties and expanding collaboration in strategic areas such as green energy and infrastructure.
