A suspect in sexual assault has been detained in Uzgen district of Kyrgyzstan. The Department of Internal Affairs of Osh region informed 24.kg news agency.

Earlier, a woman turned to the police with a statement. She told that her little daughter had been raped by an unknown man.

«A criminal case was initiated under article 155 «Violent acts of sexual nature» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A forensic medical examination has been scheduled. The suspect was detained. The investigation is ongoing,» the department informed.

Earlier it was reported that a nine-year-old girl was raped in Uzgen district.
