For Atlético Madrid, the only goal was scored by Alexander Sørloth in the 59th minute. In the final, Real Madrid will face Barcelona, which previously defeated Athletic Bilbao 5-0. The decisive match is scheduled to take place on January 11. Since the 2019/20 season, the Spanish Super Cup has adopted a mini-tournament format. Typically, it involves the national champion and runner-up, as well as the winner and runner-up of the national cup. However, last season, Barcelona claimed victory in both tournaments, and Real Madrid finished second in both competitions.
