Remains of First Karabakh War Missing Martyr Moysum Aliyev Laid to Rest in Fuzuli

Fuzuli: The remains of Moysum Murad Aliyev, a missing martyr of the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family, APA's Karabakh bureau reports. A farewell ceremony for the fallen serviceman was held in Second Mahmudlu village of the Fuzuli district.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony was attended by the martyr's family members, representatives of the District Executive Authority, law enforcement officers, military personnel, war veterans, and members of the public. The community gathered to honor Aliyev's sacrifice and remember his contribution to the war.

A funeral prayer was performed, and the martyr's remains were buried at the village cemetery under the accompaniment of a military orchestra and a gun salute, marking a solemn farewell to a national hero.

Moysum Aliyev was born in 1973 in the Fuzuli district. He participated in the First Karabakh War and went missing in 1994 during battles in the direction of Ashaghi Abdurrahmanli village in the Fuzuli district. His return and burial bring closure to his family and community after years of uncertainty.
