Baku: Within the framework of COP29, the Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounts and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) organized an event titled “What stage are governments in their climate activities? – Results of the Climate Scanner assessment”, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event was attended by representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Brazil, Finland, Canada, and the European Court of Auditors, alongside representatives from several key international organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Population Fund, World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. Heads of various state bodies also participated.
The event included a panel discussion featuring representatives from the SAIs of Canada, India, the Maldives, and the European Court of Auditors. The discussions focused on sharing experiences and lessons learned from the Climate Scanner assessment tool, with an emphasis on enhancing effective cli
mate governance and accountability at the national level.
