Rules of passenger transportation by air to Azerbaijan during pandemic, changed

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the “Temporary Rules for the organization of flights and passenger transportation by air in the Republic of Azerbaijan during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.”, APA reports.

Change is related to the conditions of acceptance of passengers by air carriers operating flights to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the amendment, all airlines operating flights to the Republic of Azerbaijan will accept passengers to flight by following conditions:

Foreigners and stateless persons:

-passengers over 18 years old- by only COVID-19 passport and a document confirming the negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19 issued within 72 hours before the flight;

-passengers whose closed relative is Azerbaijani citizen ( one of their parents, sister, brother, husband, wife or children, grandmother, grandfather and grandchild), as well as family members of such passengers (their husband, wife, parents, children)- based on documanet confirming degree of kinship and a document confirming the negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19 issued within 72 hours before the flight;

-passengers under 18 years old (except children under 1 year old)- only on the basis of a document confirming the negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19 issued within 72 hours before the flight
