Astara: The second phase of Russia's humanitarian aid delivery to Iran has been successfully completed, as announced by Dmitry Melnik, Director of the International Activities Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The announcement was made to journalists in Astara, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the humanitarian aid comprises 300 tons of medical supplies intended for the population of Iran. This follows a previous delivery of aid that was transported through Lankaran airport. The entire operation took about four days to complete, with the joint efforts of Russian and Azerbaijani institutions facilitating the process. Dmitry Melnik extended his gratitude to both Russian agencies and Azerbaijani colleagues for their roles in making the delivery possible.

Roman Popov, an employee of the Russian embassy, also expressed appreciation to the Republic of Azerbaijan and its authorities for their support in the process. He emphasized the effective collaboration between Russian and Azerbaijani institutions in ensuring the successful delivery of the aid.
