Russia has announced a transition period for coronavirus vaccination

Russia has announced a transition period until February 1 to vaccinate people against the coronavirus.

The statement came from Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, AZERTAC reported. He said only about 50 percent of Russia’s population has collective immunity. Stressing that the situation with the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the country remains complicated, T. Golikova noted that the majority of citizens who are in intensive care or die from coronavirus are unvaccinated people.

The Russian government has submitted a bill to the State Duma on the use of QR codes in transport and public places. Until February 1 next year, it will be possible to use these places by submitting negative results of coronavirus tests. From February 1 to June 1, only QR codes will be valid.
