Moscow:Individuals in Russia are now prohibited from taking more than 1 million rubles in cash to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the new decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The regulation specifies that the cash restriction applies to both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, regardless of the amount involved.
The decree outlines several exceptions to these restrictions. Previously, individuals were permitted to take cash in rubles equivalent to 100,000 US dollars out of Russia, but Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan were not included in these limitations. The new decree now incorporates these countries into the restrictions.
