Russia poses no threat to Finland, Sweden, says Peskov

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday that Russia poses no threat to Finland and Sweden, APA reports citing Tele Trader.

“I would like to recall President Putin’s words that the Russian Federation has never posed any threat to Finland or Sweden, and neither have these countries posed any threat to us. President Putin said this more than once,” Peskov said when asked about the issue amid growing concern over the two countries’ ascension to NATO.

On the military operation in Ukraine, Peskov reiterated his optimism about its progress and called any security talks with the United States unlikely.
