Normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations will help improve the situation in the region. Russia is ready to help in this, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova told at the briefing on Thursday.

“Our country is ready to continue to contribute to this in every possible way. The launch of this process would undoubtedly contribute to the general improvement of the situation in the region and the formation of an atmosphere of good-neighborliness and trust, which is especially important now,” Zakharova said.

When there are some practical moments, the Foreign Ministry will inform about it, if, of course, the information does not harm the process, taking into account its sensitivity.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahan Hunanyan said that the Armenian side is ready to normalize the Armenian-Turkish relations.
