Lankaran: Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mikhail Yevdokimov, has publicly expressed his gratitude towards Azerbaijan for facilitating the transit of humanitarian aid to Iran. This comes after a recent telephonic conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President, where the urgency of delivering medical supplies to Iran was discussed.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ambassador highlighted the swift response from Azerbaijan. He noted that following Iran's request for medical supplies, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan approved the reception of the Russian plane carrying 13 tons of medical supplies within just an hour. Ambassador Yevdokimov commended the efficiency of the Azerbaijani authorities, emphasizing the well-organized operation and the satisfaction with the smooth facilitation of aid transit to Iran.
