Moscow: A Russian delegation will soon visit Azerbaijan in preparation for the upcoming Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Games, as announced by Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Deguatyarev at the Eastern Economic Forum, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Russian delegation is making arrangements to visit Azerbaijan prior to the CIS Games. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Sports, Mr. Gayibov, extended a personal invitation to Minister Deguatyarev, who mentioned that he would make a separate decision about his own participation in the visit.

The third CIS Games are set to be held from September 28 to October 8 in seven cities across Azerbaijan. Athletes will compete in 23 different sports disciplines during the event.
