Russian Foreign Minister to Visit Uzbekistan for Strategic Talks


MOSCOW: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to visit Uzbekistan on October 28-29 to engage in discussions aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations. The visit was announced by Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova during a briefing.

According to Trend News Agency, Lavrov’s itinerary includes meetings with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov. The talks will focus on enhancing the strategic alliance and implementing agreements reached during the Russian President’s visit to Uzbekistan in May 2024. Additionally, discussions will cover a range of bilateral issues, as well as international and regional matters of mutual interest.
