Baku: 'The 'Russian House' in Azerbaijan has operated for a long time in the country without registration,' said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a press conference on the results of the year, APA reports. The minister emphasized that any institution can operate in accordance with the country's legislation, highlighting the importance of respecting national laws for the operation of any entity.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayramov stated that the activities of such institutions are not accepted if conducted unilaterally. The decision to close the Russian House was based on this principle. Recent interactions concerning the Russian House concluded several weeks ago, with certain incomplete processes related to liquidation still pending, including issues like salaries.

The Russian side appointed liquidators who have now arrived in Azerbaijan to address these pending matters. The Russian Embassy reached out to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs for assistance, which was provided to ensure the resolution of these issues. The complete liquidation of the Russian House has now been achieved, with no outstanding matters remaining.
