Russian President Vladimir Putin Begins State Visit to Azerbaijan


BAKU – Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Azerbaijan for a state visit on August 18, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two countries.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Putin was received with full honors at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where a guard of honor awaited him, and the venue was adorned with the national flags of Russia and Azerbaijan. He was welcomed by prominent Azerbaijani officials including First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov, among others. The visit is seen as an opportunity to enhance bilateral relations and discuss key regional and international issues.
