Baku: Rwandan Minister of State in charge of Transport, Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, has emphasized the shared understanding in urban planning between Azerbaijan and Rwanda. Speaking at the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), Uwihanganye highlighted that the achievements and challenges observed in Baku serve as a model for urban development.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Uwihanganye noted that the relationship between Rwanda and Azerbaijan is strong, with the heads of state having met on multiple occasions. He pointed out that Rwanda is not aiming to replicate Baku's urban infrastructure directly but rather to learn from the principles that have driven Baku's development.
Both countries are focusing on leveraging their bilateral relations to enhance their urban planning strategies. The minister's remarks underscore a commitment to collaborative learning and application of effective urban development practices.
