Sabirabad: The approval of the 'State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fisheries and Aquaculture Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030' by President Ilham Aliyev is anticipated to bolster the nation's food security and enhance the growth of the non-oil sector, stated Siragaddin Jabbarov, Head of the Sabirabad District Executive Authority. This announcement was made during a regional meeting in Sabirabad focused on the newly approved state program, as reported by APA's local correspondent.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the executive authority head acknowledged the historical decline in cotton production experienced in Sabirabad during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
