Sahiba Gafarova Engages in Bilateral Talks with Mozambique’s Parliamentary Speaker

Baku: Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, held a meeting with Margarida Talapa, the Speaker of Mozambique's Assembly of the Republic, during the 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States in Baku. The meeting underscored the significance of the conference in fortifying the relations among Muslim nations and their legislative bodies.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both speakers stressed the importance of collaboration and mutual support between their countries and parliaments within international organizations. Sahiba Gafarova shared insights on the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network's activities and highlighted the value of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Mozambique.

The discussion also encompassed the examination of parliamentary cooperation, featuring contacts and reciprocal visits by parliamentarians from both nations. Margarida Talapa expressed her appreciation for the hospitality and shared her positive impressions of Baku. She acknowledged the successful organization of the Parliamentary Union Conference by Azerbaijan and highlighted the significance of strengthening ties with Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis.

Talapa conveyed her optimism that the collaboration between the two parliaments would enhance the overall relationship between Azerbaijan and Mozambique, fostering greater bilateral ties.
