Baku: The Sangachal terminal is one of BP’s most successful projects, APA-Economics reports. Stuart Shaw, BP’s first vice president for production in the Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye region, made this announcement during his speech on the second day of the Second Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the terminal plays a crucial role in transporting oil and gas produced in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea to global markets. Shaw highlighted that a project to electrify the terminal is currently underway. In addition to this, BP is also involved in constructing a solar power plant in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
These initiatives are expected to significantly contribute to the development of green energy in the country. Moreover, they are part of efforts to reduce emissions into the atmosphere, aligning with global environmental goals.
