Baku: The second reading of the 2026 budget envelope has commenced in the Milli Majlis, as reported by APA. Members of the Azerbaijani government are actively participating in the meeting.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the budget envelope will be discussed over a span of two days. The meetings, scheduled for December 2 and 3, will address several legislative items. These include proposed amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and discussions on laws concerning the status of members of the Milli Majlis, social insurance, and state compulsory personal insurance for military personnel, among others.
Additionally, the agenda includes state duty matters, state care provisions for individuals with diabetes mellitus, hereditary blood diseases such as hemophilia and thalassemia, and multiple sclerosis. Furthermore, discussions will cover insurance activities, compulsory insurance against professional incapacitation due to workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and compulsory medical examinations for children. The meetings will also address customs tariffs, non-cash settlements, and the rights of persons with disabilities in Azerbaijan.
