Baku: Secretary General of the International Transport Forum (ITF), Young Tae Kim, has lauded Azerbaijan's successful presidency of the organization, emphasizing the accomplishments achieved during its tenure. "I remember that Azerbaijan started its presidency with a lot of ambitions and good plans. But today, we actually achieved a lot, but up to this point, it was not easy. So, we really struggled a lot to build consensus with member countries, but finally, everything ended very positively and fruitfully. So, I'm very happy," Kim stated.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during Azerbaijan's presidency, significant decisions were made, including progress on the Middle Corridor development and the digital and urban transport system. Two policy recommendations received unanimous support, marking notable achievements for Azerbaijan's leadership.
Kim also highlighted the addition of three new member countries to the ITF under Azerbaijan's presidency, a positive milestone considering the absence of new members in the previous year. He expressed his gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan and the Minister of Digital Development and Transport for their support of the ITF platform.
Kim concluded by sharing the positive feedback received from participants, noting the overall happiness and satisfaction with Azerbaijan's presidency.
