Baku: President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev, offering warm wishes on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Vucic expressed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the citizens of Serbia and himself, wishing prosperity for Azerbaijan and the well-being of its citizens. The Serbian President emphasized the importance of the development of relations with Azerbaijan, which are characterized by mutual trust and respect, and are founded on adherence to international law.
President Vucic praised President Aliyev’s role in enhancing cooperation between the two nations and expressed anticipation for their upcoming encounter. He highlighted the strategic partnership between Serbia and Azerbaijan, noting that the forthcoming First Session of the Strategic Partnership Council will further strengthen collaboration in areas of shared interest.
The letter also conveyed gratitude to Azerbaijan and President Aliyev for their support of Serbia’s efforts to resolve the Kosovo and Metohija issue through peaceful and diplomatic means. President Vucic assured that Serbia would continue to support Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
President Vucic concluded with assurances of his highest consideration for President Aliyev.
