Serbian President Sends Congratulatory Letter to Azerbaijani Counterpart on Independence Day

Belgrade: President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has extended a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, celebrating the Independence Day of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter conveyed President Vucic's warm wishes for the future prosperity, progress, and well-being of Azerbaijan and its citizens. Vucic emphasized the satisfaction with the development of Serbian-Azerbaijani relations, highlighting mutual trust, solidarity, and a strategic partnership between the two nations.

President Vucic recalled his positive experiences during his participation in the World Urban Forum in Baku, where he engaged in discussions with President Aliyev. These interactions reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in significant sectors such as energy, infrastructure, investments, and broader economic ties.

The letter also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its steadfast support of Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Vucic acknowledged this support as a testament to the mutual understanding and respect for international law shared by both countries. The Serbian President assured that Serbia remains committed to respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
