Kyrgyzstan: A Consultative Meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries is planned to be held in Turkmenistan, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated at the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries, as reported by APA's correspondent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the new mechanisms of interstate cooperation will enhance relations between the nations involved. The meeting is scheduled for October 8, 2026, in Turkmenistan's National Tourist Zone. Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring the summit is conducted effectively and at a high level, and shared that the participating states have been informed of the summit's agenda.

The agenda will focus on five primary areas: regional and international issues, peace, stability and security, political and diplomatic cooperation, trade and economic collaboration, and the expansion of energy sector cooperation. The development of sustainable transport and logistics corridors is also on the agenda.

Environmental protection, climate change adaptation, efficient water resource management, agricultural restoration coordination, and the enhancement of cultural, educational, and scientific ties will also be discussed. Additionally, the expansion of student and youth exchanges is considered strategically important for the participating nations.

President Berdimuhamedov also mentioned that international forums and cultural events are planned in connection with the summit preparations. He expressed confidence that the participating states will approach these events with responsibility and interest, as they have in past years.
