Baku: Lowering the military conscription age limit in Azerbaijan from 35 to 30 has reduced state expenses, Major General Mursal Ibrahimov, Chief of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said in an interview with APA News Agency and REAL TV.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the service chief explained that while preparing the draft for this change, the Service analyzed various aspects. They concluded that individuals over 30 often do not have the same health conditions as younger people. Additionally, many citizens in this age group are already married and employed. Consequently, the final version of the draft was prepared and submitted accordingly. The President agreed to this change, leading to an amendment in the legislation. The reduction in the age limit has also positively impacted state expenses.
