Shusha Welcomes New Residents as Relocation Efforts Continue

Baku – In a continued effort to repopulate the city of Shusha, 27 more families, comprising 91 individuals, have been given keys to their new homes, marking another step in the city’s restoration.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this recent movement is part of a broader initiative directed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to permanently settle displaced families in Shusha. The families, previously housed in temporary accommodations such as dormitories and sanatoriums across various regions, departed from the Garadagh district of Baku on September 7. To date, the initiative has successfully resettled 204 families, totaling 763 people, back into the historically significant city.
